Hailey Bakich

As lead stylists at Ashen, Hailey Bakich specializes in color and hair extensions. Her love for hair started 1998 in downtown San Diego. Hailey was apprentice style educated and then followed an intense course at Vidal Sassoon in London’s Knightsbridge Academy. Later Hailey’s growing love for color took her worldwide with styling house such as L’Oreal, Tigi, Wella, and Goldwell for more advanced training. She is also a master of Hairlocs hair extensions as well as Global Keratin hair straightening. For Hailey, personalizing each style for the individual is key to the perfect color and cut. Taking into account hair texture, lifestyle, and the clients overall unique presence is where her expertise thrives. Her wide variety of clientele consists of hipsters, moms, working professionals and businessmen alike. Variety is the key to life. Hailey has also styled the cast of MTV’s Laguna Beach, Sweet 16, as well as numerous fashion shows and photo shoots. Hailey’s knack for fashion has also encouraged the boutique to come to life. Her love for clothes has led her to be a buyer, personnel shopper as well as a style consultant for many of her loyal clientele.

Courtney Resch

As Manager and Salon Coordinator at Ashen, Courtney Resch expertly strives to provide the best customer service to each and every customer that comes through Ashen’s doors. Her dedication, love, and passion for the business started when she was only 16 years old and has since achieved impressive successes within her career. She’s a Paul Mitchell graduate and was trained by Hailey and other Vidal Sassoon trained stylists. She has an eye for hair and possesses the unique ability to individualize the current trends and styles to suit your every need. She knows that personal style means everything and she thrives on her ability to emphasize importance with every client by providing exactly what they want every time. She has an uncanny ability to communicate her knowledge, keenly listen to her clients’ needs, and consult professionally. She excels in precision cutting, creative color, color correction, HotHeads Hair extensions, and specializes in Brazilian Keratin Straightening. She has taught advanced academy styling classes at local schools and has done numerous photo shoots and fashion shows for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week In New York, Los Angeles Fashion Week, 944 magazine, Riviera magazine, San Diego Channel 6 Morning News, and TIGI fashion shows.

Kelly Trojnar

Kelly Trojnar has been a stylist since 1999 developing her color expertise and art of modern hair styling. Kelly has an extensive education in the Rusk style of cut and color placement. Kelly has been a regional educator with Davinesfor 6 years and travels educating throughout North America. She is very focused on style and uses a balance of colors and textures as inspiration. Her ability to execute multi-colored highlights to achieve a polished look is a unique way to experience hair color. In 2002, Kelly placed first at the World Style contest in Las Vegas continuing to Italy where she placed third in the global event.

Kelly has been working in La Jolla the past 10 years and loves giving her clients a new fresh look.

Mia Avila-Preclaro

Mia Avila-Preclaro is a San Diego native has been involved in the world of hair and make up since 2001. She has trained under elite Rusk and Davines educators, having perfected the art of color for both hair and the face. Her specialties lie in the areas of special occasion hair and makeup as well as hair color correction. She has an eye for capturing the essence of ones personality and transforming it into a classic overall look. Her credits include makeup for KUSI News, 944 Magazine and various fashions shows.

Jessica Bertheau

Jessica is one of those rare individuals – a San Diego native – who loves her chosen life’s path. For the past 10 years, Jessica has garnered plenty of artistic, professional and creative acclaim in her career as a professional hair stylist. Early on, her tenacious nature helped her secure a much-sought after position under the tutelage of Paul Mitchell , master hair artist , which allowed her to participate in many country-wide exhibits and presentations. She received extensive training at Robert Cromean’s Salon where she was able to perfect precision haircutting and the mastery of haircolor placement. Jessica has refined her techniques and constantly keeps up to date with new and innovative products and hair styling tools.
She’s quick with a flat iron and her up-dos are achieved to perfection – hairstyles of which have attributed to her much sought after skills for wedding day special presentations. She is also an Advanced Educator at Bellus Beauty Academy where she tries to impart to her students the same skills about hairstyling that have attributed to her successful career path . Alli Hayes

Alli Hayes, originally from Northern California, transplanted to Southern California in 2006. Doing hair since 2003, Alli has trained with some of the best in the industry. Some of the lines she has worked/studied with include: Wella Koleston, I.C.O.N, Aveda, Joico, and Pureology to name a few. From being a blonde most of her life she has developed quite a following of die-hard blonde enthusiasts. While perfecting the art of making the perfect blonde she also specializes in cutting and applying human hair extensions. One for always staying ahead of the current trends, it’s pretty obvious her true passion comes through when coloring each of her clients. Not just a head of hair, she really takes the time toperfect and personalize every client that comes through her chair.

Stephanie Thomas

As a born and raised San Diegan, Stephanie Thomas is the true essence of a California girl. Entering her sixth year as a stylist, she specializes in color, extensions and Keratin smoothing treatments producing that effortless, easy to maintain look we all long for.
